Finding Our True Companion:
My Inner Life with Sri Sathya Sai Baba
How can someone I’ve never met be my closest friend and confidant? Although I was never able to travel to India to visit him, I consider Sri Sathya Sai Baba, whom devotees call simply Baba or Swami, to be my dearest, most trusted companion. The inner connection I feel with him is the most meaningful thing in my life. From it flows peace, joy, love, and strength. It gives greater meaning and purpose to any success or failure in my life. This book tells the story of how I came to know Sathya Sai Baba, a holy man and Avatar living in India from 1926 until his passage from the body in 2011. More importantly, it shows how each of us can develop that joyful, loving, inner relationship with the Divine. Baba taught me the greatest lesson of all, to recognize the omnipresent God within myself and in all of us. In sharing my experiences, I hope to inspire you on your own path to finding your True Companion, whatever form that Divinity takes in your life and understanding.
What makes my book unique, fresh, and timely, is the fact that I never visited Sai Baba in India. Unlike other authors who have written about this Avatar, I never met the physical Baba, yet I knew Him perhaps as well as other devotees who sat with him again and again. My experiences say less about me than about Sai Baba’s love, power, and presence for anyone who wishes to reach out to him. Now that he has left his body, my story may be more relevant than ever, pointing the way for people to begin wherever they are to develop a closer relationship with Divinity in any of its many manifestations, including the living spirit of Baba himself. My book is not just for people who may be interested in the figure known as Sri Sathya Sai Baba; it speaks to anyone interested in finding and experiencing the Divine.
On the world stage, Sai Baba was recognized as a humanitarian who nurtured India by building ashrams, free schools and universities for both men and women, free hospitals for the poor, and water pipelines to serve rural areas. In the spiritual arena, he transformed hearts and minds all over the world with the unstoppable power of his immense love and grace. People were attracted by the miracles he performed but captivated by his love, sweetness, and divine power. He was known as Premaswarupa and Anandaswarupa, the Embodiment of Divine Love and Bliss, and he said we embody those same divine qualities too. His message calls to anyone who longs to know who they really are, why they are here, and how to reach toward the highest that life has to offer.
My book is complete and awaiting publication. If you’d like to stay informed, why not send me an email and let me know? I’ll add you to my mailing list, and you can be sure to hear about publication updates, special offers, free chapters as they become available, and readings as scheduled.
Reiki and Your Intuition: A Union of Healing and Wisdom
by Tina M. Zion (WriteLife Publishing, 2019)
Tina M. Zion graciously included some of my Reiki stories in her book Reiki and Your Intuition: A Union of Healing and Wisdom (WriteLife Publishing, 2019). I heard about Tina’s intuitive gifts from a very dear friend of mine who told me Tina was “the real deal” as a medical intuitive and teacher. I bought her books Become a Medical Intuitive and Advanced Medical Intuition. Both were beautifully produced and intriguing. When my friend told me Tina was looking for submissions for her upcoming book about Reiki and urged me to write something, I did so. (By the way, my friend submitted a lovely piece as well. You can now read Dr. Cheryl Meisterman’s own heart-warming Reiki story in Tina’s book.) You can purchase Tina's books on Amazon.
Being surprised by some of what Tina included in her book propelled me to blog about the current state of affairs in Reiki. See the link to that article below.
